Because of the Military, I got a job on base at the youth center as a teen hire. I had a lot of benefits such as, no taxes when I shop on base, really awesome cuts of meat, get free medical coverage and I’ll get help with going to college. I also get to see free movies. We get to see the air show and CB days. I’ve noticed a lot of military people seem a lot more respectful and mature. I would have to go to daycare or stay home by myself and I would miss him but the good side of that is I did get to learn how to cook and entertain myself. I hope soon I will get to go to the Navy Ball with my dad. I have always wanted to go to a classy Ball especially with my dad. He is now retired and we can no longer eat at the galley I will miss that very much! The military has helped my family and I out a lot. When I was a baby I lived in San Diego and we got to live on base in a three story house. Because of the military I exist, my parents met on a plane to Guam because my father was stationed there and my mother was flying there to meet up with her family and they lived there for a couple years and got married and then when my dad was stationed in San Diego I was born.
