For metabolic enhancement, it uses natural ingredients such as turmeric.
Finally, B vitamins and green tea help to restore and support your body’s natural balance.
Let’s take a look at each one of these ingredients to shed some light on its overall efficacy in achieving weight loss success, as reported by reputable research institutions and sources.
According to WebMD, glucomannan is a type of dietary fiber.
They report that some amount of preliminary research reveals that ingesting glucomannan orally can enhance weight loss in adults and children that are overweight or obese.
That being said, they report that not all research agrees on this point.
A NIH study concluded that ‘glucomannan supplements (3.99 g daily) were well tolerated but did not promote weight loss in overweight and moderately obese individuals consuming self-selected diets and maintaining usual physical activity patterns’.1
Because of this, there may be insufficient evidence for a robust claim that it can help with weight loss.
The National Institutes of Health writes that garcinia cambogia is indigenous to the areas of Southeast Asia and India.
They also report that its fruit rind can be used to add flavor to fish curries or even aid in preserving food.
As far as weight loss goes, the research seems to be lacking.
In several studies, patients given garcinia cambogia did not lose weight over their placebo counterparts.
With that said, another study conducted by scientists at the Department of Morphological Sciences at the University of Córdoba in Spain concluded ‘Administration of garcinia cambogia and glucomannan reduce weight and improve lipid and glucose blood profiles in people with overweight or obesity’.2
Additionally, the NIH does report that garcinia cambogia appears to be safe to take for most people over short periods of time in the range of 12 weeks or so.3
This is an extract made from hot chili peppers, according to the University of Rochester Medical Center.
They write that claims regarding cayenne pepper’s ability to help manage weight loss or obesity may be unsubstantiated.
With that said, another study concluded that supplementation of capsaicinoids (of which cayenne pepper contains a lot of) has been shown to decrease body fat percentage and fat mass.4
If you do take cayenne pepper, keep in mind that it can promote sweating and saliva formulation in the human body, so you may notice an increase in perspiration and/or salivation.
Ginger Hultin, of the Academy for Nutrition and Dietetics, explains in U.S. News and World Report that raspberry ketones are found within a variety of fruits and berries and that the compounds themselves can have a quite fruity odor.
For weight loss, research on mice and rats has suggested that ingesting incredibly high amounts of raspberry ketones might enhance their ability to keep off excess weight.
However, this same research does not imply that humans can achieve the same benefits by taking raspberry ketones as well.5
For the moment, it appears that the evidence is insufficient for whether this particular ingredient can actually help people with weight loss.
Here’s an ingredient that seems to be worth its salt. The National Center for Biotechnology Information is a branch of the US National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health.
We will look at several direct quotes from their research.
First, they write, “Experimental evidence supports the activity of curcumin in promoting weight loss and reducing the incidence of obesity-related diseases.”6
Curcumin is one of the active properties of turmeric.
Further, in some studies, it appears that this component can positively enhance weight loss goals when it “directly interacts with white adipose tissue”.6
Finally, the NCBI writes, “Through these diverse mechanisms curcumin reduces obesity and curtails the adverse health effects of obesity.”6
This is good news for people using Leanbean as part of their weight loss regimen.
Leanbean incorporates B vitamins in order to help the body maintain its overall natural balance. Good news!
MedlinePlus, a division of U.S. National Library of Medicine, appears to agree.
They report that B vitamins perform the necessary job of enabling your body to extract energy from consumed food.
At the same time, they also support in the creation of vital red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body.
Another helpful ingredient in supporting the body’s natural balance in Leanbean is green tea. According to Harvard Medical School, there are many reasons to believe that tea can promote greater overall health.
For starters, Harvard reports that some research implies that consuming green tea can help your body respond better to stress.
Studies also show that people who drink tea are often at lower risk for strokes and heart attacks.7
