The Hybrid Tactical Vest was designed to meet global needs for a fully functional military and law enforcement tactical body armor system, all in one. With 360 degree protection, and front/rear pockets to accommodate Level III or Level IV rifle rated plates, it's the perfect body armor system for when SHTF. This tactical vest is highly versatile, offering optimal performance and functionality.
With ultra-durability offered through a domestic 600 Denier Polyester, the Hybrid Tactical Vest is ready for any mission. Each vest includes NIJ Certified Level IIIA ballistic panels, and is modular to offer rifle rated protection by inserting our STRATIS or Fortis Level III+ or Level IV body armor plates (sold separately). Balancing comfort and mobility, the Hybrid Tactical Vest truly does it all.
The Hybrid Tactical Vest comes with Level IIIA soft armor panels in the front and back, and accommodates Level 3 or Level 4 rifle-rated plates in the front and back pockets. To learn more about the NIJ body armor standards, visit our Understanding Body Armor Ratings blog.
Body armor is legal to own in all 50 states (but we can not ship it to the state of Connecticut or New York).
If you're in between sizes, we recommend sizing up as the elastic cummerbund provides adjustments, and sizing up will leave room for installing rifle rated armor plates.

Yes, the Hybrid Tactical Vest includes full-size, NIJ Certified Level IIIA ballistics in both the front and back.
The outer carrier is machine washable. Simply remove any ballistic panels, plates and trauma pad, then we recommend washing the carrier on gentle. Lay the carrier flat to dry.

The vest's sizing is true to the provided size chart. I love the quality of its build.
Shipping was very quick. This is my first vest. Quality at all stitch points looked good. I used the website sizing guide and sizing was perfect. I hope i never need to find out if it can do what its designed for. I will be much more comfortable as RSO at big events with shooters at all different levels of experience.
