About Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday was started by a young man named Sandy Beall in 1972, near the University of Tennessee.  Beall wanted to start a restaurant with fresh, homemade food that was filled with flavor. He wanted this food to be served by friendly and caring staff.

The food and customer service offered by Beall was immediately loved, and the restaurant quickly turned into a successful chain. Today, there are over 600 Ruby Tuesday restaurants nationwide.

Ruby Tuesday still holds onto the values of fresh, flavorful food and quality customer service. They are known for their American Diner style food, including burgers, fries, and a “Create Your Own” salad bar.

What Is The Official Ruby Tuesday Military Discount?

Ruby Tuesday offers two deals for military members. We will look into each of these deals in detail below:

Ruby Tuesday Military Discount

The first deal that Ruby Tuesday offers to those who serve is a daily military discount. They give 10% off to their customers who currently serve or have served in the past.

This deal is available every day, and at every Ruby Tuesday location across the country.

To use this deal, simply bring your military ID and show it to your server before they bring your bill. They will apply the 10% off deal to your total.

Ruby Tuesday Veteran’s Day Deal

Many locations across the country have offered one free appetizer to military members and veterans on Veteran’s Day in past years.

This deal is not guaranteed to happen at every location every year. You’ll need to watch for advertisements about the deal, or contact your local restaurant when Veteran’s Day is approaching, to see if you’ll be able to take advantage of it.

It’s still worth checking out, however, since it is a great way to save on a good meal.

Who Can Claim This Deal?

The Ruby Tuesday military discount and the free appetizer on Veteran’s Day are available to all military members, including those who are currently serving and those who have served in the past.

Members of the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard can claim the deals, as well as those who serve in Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard roles.

As for past military members, both veterans and retired service members can take advantage of these deals.

The savings are not available to military family members, such as spouses or dependents, at this time.

What Are The Restrictions?

The only restriction that comes with the everyday military discount at Ruby Tuesday’s is that you must show a military ID in order to use it, as we mentioned earlier.

The Veteran’s Day free meal has a few more restrictions that you will want to keep in mind. The first is that it is not a corporate-wide deal. This means that some locations may offer the free appetizer, and others may not.

It’s also not guaranteed to happen every year. The Veteran’s Day free appetizer has happened consistently in the past, but you’ll still need to watch for advertisements that show your local restaurant is bringing the deal back as the holiday draws near.

You also need to show a military ID for the free Veteran’s Day appetizer, just as you do for the military discount.
