If you visit this page on the Veterans Advantage website, it makes no mention of a discount.
Additionally, when you click on the button that says ‘Yes, Redeem My Offer’, you get this:
It’s pretty clear that whatever military discount Sears offered through Veterans Advantage has either expired, or has been paused.
So, does Sears have a military discount or not?
OMK dug a little deeper, and it appears that they in fact DO have a military discount.
As per their website:

So as you can see, it’s not your typical discount. You can only redeem this in stores, and be sure to bring your military ID to verify your service!

Can I get a Sears military discount when I purchase a product or service in-store?
Sears does not advertise a specific military discount that is offered in-store. It doesn’t hurt to ask the clerk when you go to checkout the items.
We have noticed some cashiers are willing to provide you with a discount, while others stick more to company policy.
They may need an override from a manger.
So it is not something you can count on yet the way we look at it there is no problem with at least asking.
You never know what they might do for you!
How much does it cost to join Veterans Advantage?
Veterans Advantage can get you access to countless exclusive offers for military personnel, families, and veterans.
You do need to pay for a membership.
Veterans Advantage has different plans:
- A 30-day trial for $4.95.
- $9.99 p/ month.
- $59.95 f/ 12 months ($4.99 p/ month).
The long-term plan is the best value.
However, if you are new to Veterans Advantage you may just decide to enroll in the 30-day trial plan to determine if you will use the special savings enough to make the membership worthwhile.
You can cancel at any time during the 30-day trial.
Make sure you mark the trial date deadline on a calendar.
After 30 days the trial automatically upgrades to the 12-month, $59.95 plan.
So unless you want to don’t want to get automatically billed for $60 on a credit card you provide you’ll want to cancel before then.
