Luckily for guests, there are plenty of car rental centers that allow you to get your car straight from the airport.

Some of our favorite options include:

What time is graduation at Fort Jackson?

The graduation times for each unit are going to fluctuate as the current Covid-19 climate has made it hard to coordinate events like graduation until they are just coming up.

In the past, graduation ceremonies have been held in the mornings around 10.

Check in with your trainee if they have received any updated information.

How many tickets do you get for Fort Jackson graduation?

Under normal circumstances, the tickets to a graduation ceremony would be distributed by mail to the people a trainee would want to come in the weeks leading up to the event.

However, Covid-19 has moved the graduation ceremonies for the foreseeable future to an online format where it is live-streamed on Facebook.

On the bright side, this means that an unlimited number of friends and family members can watch the event as it is happening.

How do I get onto the base at Ft. Jackson?

Getting onto the base at Fort Jackson is just like getting onto any other military training facility.

Once you arrive at the main gate (Gate 4), they will need to see your identification so they can match it with what they have on file.

Once they confirm your identity and vehicle registration, you will be given a guest pass and allowed access onto the base.

Here’s the address for the main gate: 6271 Boyden Arbor Rd, Columbia, SC 29223

What can I expect to see / happen at the graduation?

Unfortunately, the current graduation ceremony at Fort Jackson is substantially less exciting with Covid-19 restrictions in place.

Since the event is now just being live streamed to friends and family, you will be able to watch the graduation ceremony from a computer or mobile device.

The current graduation ceremony now simply involves a few speakers and the ceremony itself to make the digital format much shorter than traditional ceremonies.

What do you wear to Fort Jackson graduation?

If you were to go to an in person graduation at Fort Jackson when the Covid-19 bans are lifted, you would not have to follow any strict dress code.

It is always a good ideal to dress respectfully and for the weather at military branch graduations to respect the hard work put in by trainees and to be ready for the Carolina heat.

How has Covid-19 affected boot camp graduation?

In nearly every way, Covid-19 has had a major impact on graduations for every base across the country.

At Fort Jackson, they decided that it was best for the health of everyone on the base to only allow people to view the graduation ceremony via live stream.

This has also canceled many of the family events and traditions that were associated with graduation day.

Where can I watch a live stream of the graduation?

To watch a live or recorded version of the ceremony, the Fort Jackson Facebook page will be the best place to get stream updates and event information.
