About Starbucks

Starbucks started as a single store in Seattle, Washington, in 1971.

The store was opened by three recent college grads who had a deep love for coffee.

Their names were Jerry Baldwin, Gordon Bowker, and Zev Siegel.

In the past fifty years, Starbucks has grown exponentially.

They now have thousands of stores all over the world and are often found inside of Target stores as well.

Starbucks has a goal of making connections with its customers.

They want to be more than a provider of coffee; they want to be a positive part of the communities they are located in as well.

What Is The Official Starbucks Military Discount?

Unfortunately, Starbucks does not offer a daily military discount. However, they have offered sporadic military deals in the past.

For example, in certain years they have given away free cups of brewed coffee or tea to active duty military members, veterans, and military spouses on Veterans Day.

This is not a guaranteed yearly deal.

However, it is something worth watching for, since if it comes around, you’ll be able to get a free drink.

Starbucks also aims to give back to military members in ways other than a discount on drinks.

They have a “Starbucks Military Commitment,” which has the goal of providing stable careers, health benefits, and education opportunities to current and former military members.

Starbucks also has over 60 Military Family Stores across the United States, which are places where military members can work, connect with each other, and find guidance and resources.

Sign Up For Starbucks Rewards

Aside from their promotions that are shared with everyone, Starbucks has a rewards program that sends deals especially for you.

You can earn Starbucks Rewards by collecting “Stars.”

Stars can be earned every time you make a purchase at a Starbucks store.

Once you have enough, you can cash in your stars for real rewards.

Starbucks states that these rewards can add up in just 2-3 visits, so you will be able to redeem them quickly.

Starbucks Rewards will also provide you with a coupon for a free treat every year on your birthday, and free refills on brewed coffee and tea in store.

The program also sends you deals, both promotions that are available to everyone and special rewards member deals.

You can take advantage of the Starbucks Rewards program by making an account here.

Bring In Your Own Cup

Starbucks will give you a 10-cent discount every time you bring in your own cup instead of using one of their paper options.

This cup can be a reusable cup or a cup from a coffee shop competitor.

If you bring in a competitor cup, you will get your coffee in a new, clean cup, but you will still receive your 10-cent discount.

Best of all, if you’re a member of the Starbucks reward program, you’ll receive an extra 25 reward stars as well as stars based on the price of your beverage.

Stay For A Discounted (or Free) Refill

If you drink your brewed coffee, cold brew coffee, or tea while you are in the store, you can get a refill for only 50 cents.

These refills are free if you are a Starbucks Rewards member.

If you’re ready to drink your coffee right away and you have a few minutes to sit around, this is a great way to get more coffee for your money.
