You might be wondering if Ashley Furniture offers a military discount.
OMK did some research recently to find out if Ashley Furniture has changed its policy from our last update in June 2019.
Ashley Furniture DOES now offer a military discount.
According to the company website, Ashley offers a 5% discount for online purchases.
Here’s what I found out:
By verifying your military service through SheerID, you’ll receive a one-time-use code for a 5% discount for online purchases.
How to Redeem the Ashley Furniture Military Discount
Simply register at SheerID here and set up your account to receive your discount code.
SheerID will ask about your military status, branch of service, and contact details. You may need to provide further documentation, such as a DD214 or copy of your military ID
Choose the items you wish to purchase and add them to your cart.
Once you’re ready to check out, you simply need to provide your discount code in your shopping cart.
The 5% discount will be taken off of your final purchase cost.
Who is Eligible for the Ashley Furniture Military Discount
Active duty military members of all branches of the service are eligible for the discount.
Others that can take advantage are retired or veteran members of the Armed Forces.
Registered dependents, such as spouses and children can also register for a discount code.
(The company also offers a discount to first responders and medical personnel.)
Restrictions on the Ashley Furniture Military Discount
Unfortunately, there are some restrictions to using your military discount at Ashley.
You can’t combine the discount with other promotions. It also will not apply to in-store multi-piece furniture packages, clearance or closeout items, floor models, or extended warranties or protection plans.
The discount also doesn’t apply to certain branded items or service and delivery charges.
Other Ashley Discounts – Mailing List
Another great way members of the military and their families can get a discount is by signing up for their email list.
There is no specific discount offered for signing up. However, joining the company’s mailing list means you’ll receive advance notice of any sales.

Ashley Furniture Online Deals
What struck me as sort of odd about Ashley Furniture was the sheer number of discounts they offered on their website vs. ordering in their store.
Typically, furniture companies like this want to get you in the store so their high-pressure salesman can sink their teeth in.
This was actually NOT the case with Ashley Furniture.
They offer a number of discounts that are only available online, including:
Online Only 50% Clearance
While I can’t guarantee this sale will last forever, when researching the Ashley Furniture military discount, I couldn’t help but notice the banner saying “50% Off Clearance.”
With deals like this, who even needs a military discount?
Black Friday in July Sale
This time-limited sale offered everything from outdoor seating to basic mattresses.
Student Discount
With back-to-college around the corner, the Ashley Furniture website was ready with a 10% off discount for students.
So, late summer is a great time to buy new furniture for teens and young adults, whether they’re off to college or have simply grown out of their childhood bedroom set.
Outdoor Furniture Deals
Along with all these other sales, Ashley Furniture’s website also had a 40% off sale on outdoor furniture.
The sale includes everything from weatherproof seating to bistro table sets.
This actually worked out absolutely perfect for us because we were going to Ashley Furniture specifically to look for outdoor furniture.
Keep in mind that the sale change on a regular basis, so what you see today might not be there tomorrow!
Hot Buys
For the average Ashley Furniture goer, this is the section that you should be checking out the most.
They have huge discounts on everything from bed sets to dressers/drawers, 5-piece comforter sets, and even area rugs!
I’m not an impulse buyer…
However, my wife, on the other hand, is!
I almost had to literally drag her out of the hot buys section before she attempted to max out our credit cards!
Again, keep in mind that this list changes on a weekly, and sometimes even daily, basis.
So if you see something you like, don’t spend too much time thinking about it.
It might be gone before you know it!
Select Mattresses
If you’re in the market for a new mattress, you’re in luck.
Ashley Furniture offers some very generous discounts on a wide variety of mattresses, including:
- Sealy Blue Mesa
- Sealy Grand Mesa
- Bonita Springs plush twin
- Off-brand memory foam twin
- And several other leading brands
However, keep in mind that some of the mattress brands are excluded from the discount
These include specific mattresses like:
- Beautyrest Black
- Sealy Conform
- Tempur-Pedic
- Stearns & Foster
- Serta iComfort
- Sealy Hybrid
Obviously, this list is subject to change, so don’t quote me on anything!
It’s best to check with your individual store, they’ll have the answers to all of your questions.
Ashley Furniture Discount – Veterans / Memorial Day Sale
Another way you can save some money shopping at Ashley Furniture is by waiting for one of their Veterans Day or Memorial Day Sale.
While these sales are open to the general public, they are clearly meant to honor the sacrifice of those that have fought and died for this country.
The discounts for Memorial Day are pretty similar to those you would find on Veterans Day, and can be anywhere from as little as 5% off to as much as 60% off.
Again, it all depends on what you’re buying.
Memorial Day
During this year’s Ashley Furniture memorial day sale, they offered discounts on over 350 items.
They ranged from things like a Darcy Sofa to a Kisper End table, to even a set of lanterns.
Nearly all of the items were only available for purchase on their website and included free in-home delivery from UPS.
Veterans Day
Their Veterans Day sale offers a slightly smaller number of items, but the items they do offer at a substantial discount included high priced items like:
- Bolanburg Dining Room Server
- Larusi 2-piece sectional with chaise lounge
- Bolanburg Display Cabinet
- Lakeleigh Dresser
- Torcello Loveseat
Some items during the Ashley Furniture Veterans Day sale had savings of as much as nearly $1,000 off the original price.
These tend to be higher ticket items like 5 and 6 piece sectionals, as well as entertainment consoles.
The Ashley Furniture Veterans Day sale takes place in 2023 on Saturday, November 11th.
Eligibility And Terms and Conditions
Obviously, when it comes to a large purchase (like furniture), there’s always the fine print.
In general, the terms and conditions of Ashley Furniture discounts can be broken down as follows:
- You can’t combine discounts with any coupons or other offers
- Prices vary from store to store. If you’re in Hawaii, you’ll pay more than if you’re in Kansas.
- Offers expire. The date of expiration varies depending on the discount.
- You can’t receive a discount on items you already purchased. The coupons and deals above are only for new purchases.
Summary
If you’re looking to replace your tired old furniture or your family is growing, it’s nice to know that Ashley Furniture has brought back their military discount.
But don’t forget to look at the abundant sales on the website, as they may save you more than your military discount would provide.
