Fanatics was started as a brick and mortar store in the Orange Park Mall in Jacksonville, Florida by two brothers named Mitch and Alan Trager in 1995.

The store soon opened a second location, and another, and another.

Now, Fanatics is the top retailer of sports merchandise.

They sell most of the professional league jerseys that fans wear, as well as a wide variety of other clothing items and sports-related products.

ID.me is an online verification tool that allows retailers (like Fanatics) to easily offer military deals to online customers.

If you do not have an ID.me account yet, you can create one here.

Keep in mind that you will need to upload proof of your military service in order to create an account.

Once you have an ID.me account, you’ll be ready to use the Fanatics deal.

How To Use The Fanatics Military Discount

To use this deal, you’ll shop on the Fanatics website as you normally would.

When you get to the checkout screen, click the button that says “Troop ID.” 

This will redirect you to ID.me, whereto can sign into your account.

You’ll then be redirected back to the Fanatics website, where the 15% will be automatically taken off of your cart total.

Who Can Claim This Deal?

The Fanatics military discount is available to all current military members.

This includes those who serve in the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard in Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard roles.

Even members of the Inactive Reserve are allowed to use this deal.

It also extends to past service members.

This includes both retired military members and veterans.

Military family members, including both spouses and dependents, can use the deal.

Along with military members, first responders who work in the following fields can take advantage of the discount:

What Are The Restrictions?

The Fanatics military discount does come with a few restrictions that you will want to keep in mind. 

It cannot be used when purchasing gift cards, and you won’t be able to combine the savings with any other deals or promotions.

The deal cannot be used to purchase merchandise for family and friends. It’s only meant to thank you for your service.

As we mentioned earlier, it also requires the use of ID.me.
