OMK reached out to Planet Fitness’s corporate team and found that the decision to have a military discount is made at the branch level since each branch is privately owned.
OMK also reached out to multiple Planet Fitness locations across the country but did not find one that offered a military deal.
This makes it seem like a Planet Fitness military discount is rare, so you may need to look into other ways to save on your membership.

1. Watch for Deals
Planet Fitness may not have constant deals offered on its website like many other companies do, but they do often have promotions and events that let new customers save on membership costs.
These deals may include paying just one dollar for an initiation fee, getting a discounted price on a prepaid plan, or saving a few dollars a month on your membership.
The deals are always new, so you’ll have to wait until the next one comes around to see how great the savings are.
There are a few places that you can check when you’re watching for a good deal to come around.
The first is your local Planet Fitness.
If you call or go into the gym, the associates will be able to tell you all about any deals that are currently available.
You can also watch the Facebook page for your local club, as the deals are often advertised there.

2. Groupon
Groupon also has deals on Planet Fitness memberships fairly often.
These deals are usually on prepaid memberships, and allow you to save a large percentage off of a deal that’ll let you exercise in the gym for a few months at a time with just one payment.

3. Share a Black Card Membership
This isn’t a coupon or promotion, but it’s still a good way to save some money on a membership at Planet Fitness.
If you’re interested in the Black Card membership and live with another person who will always be with you when you exercise (i.e. a spouse or roommate), you may be able to pay for just one membership between the both of you.
This is because when you have a Black Card, you are allowed to bring a guest for free.
One of you can have the membership, and the other can be the guest.
You can then split the cost, allowing both of you to save on monthly membership fees.
