Harley Davidson is one of the most well-known motorcycle companies in the world.
They don’t offer a typical military discount, in the sense that it’s not advertised on their website, and you can’t get it at any old dealership.
Military.com correctly notes that Harley Davidson in fact DOES offer a 5% military discount.
With that said, it’s only applicable at base exchanges.
So unless you live on base or are near one, unfortunately you’ll be out of luck.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t support the military in other ways!
In fact, Harley Davidson does A LOT for our men and women in uniform, which we’ll cover in great detail below.

About Harley Davidson
Harley Davidson was started in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1903 by a man named William Harley, as well three brothers named Walter, Arthur, and William Davidson.
The company was one of only two motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression.
They continued to find success, and are one of the top motorcycle manufacturers still today.
Along with being a respected and well-known motorcycle company, Harley Davidson holds a deep respect for those who serve our country.
They state that they have a responsibility to give back to the military.
They give back through many military deals that we will look into below, as well as donations volunteer work.
The two charities they support regularly are the Wounded Warrior Program and the Rolling Thunder.
What Is The Official Harley Davidson Military Discount?
Unfortunately, Harley Davidson does not offer a typical military discount that gives service members a certain percentage or dollar amount off each purchase they make.
However, they do have many programs that give back to active duty and deployed military members.

2. Harley Davidson Operation Extend The Ride
Operation Extend the Ride is a program made for deployed military members, to protect their bikes for longer than the normal warranty would be able to.
This program comes with protection that includes comprehensive coverage, an expense reimbursement package, nationwide repair location assistance, contract transfers, tire and wheel protection, and helps to minimize unexpected repair costs.
The coverage is good for up to 7 years, and for an unlimited number of miles during the covered timeframe.

You can find a dealer near you by clicking here.

Who Can Claim These Deals?
These deals each have their own sets of eligibility requirements, so we will into each program separately below.
The free shipping deal is available to current military members who are either serving in active duty roles, or who are currently deployed.
The catch with this deal is that you need to have the item mailed to an APO, FPO, or a DPO to get the free shipping, as we mentioned earlier.
This means that the deal really works for anyone who currently has one of the addresses mentioned above.
This includes military members of all five branches, including those who serve in the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard.
Operation Extend the Ride is available only to military members who are currently deployed.
The Military Auto Source program is available to anyone who is currently deployed or stationed overseas.
The special military financing is available to both active duty and deployed military members.
The motorcycle storage offer is available to deployed military members.
The free H.O.G. membership is available to deployed military members as well.
Unfortunately, Harley Davidson does not currently offer savings for military members who serve in the National Guard or Reserves and are not currently deployed, retired military members, veterans, or military family members.
What Are The Restrictions?
The only real restrictions to keep in mind when using any of these programs are the strict eligibility requirements.
If you are eligible for the program, you should be able to use the deal.
