What is the Official Walgreens Military Discount?
Unfortunately, Walgreens does not have a typical military discount that is offered every day of the year.
Their military discount only works at certain times of year.
Every year around Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Veteran’s Day, Walgreens releases an ad that describes a sale especially for military members.
Typically, these sales provide 20% or 30% off your qualifying purchases.
Walgreens brand items (and all other brands that are owned by Walgreens, such as PetShoppe, Living Solutions, Nice!, Finest Nutrition, and more) are sold at 30% off, and a wide variety of other items are available at 20% off.
Almost anything that doesn’t fall into the Walgreens brand category and that is being sold at full price can be purchased for 20% off.

How to Use this Deal:
Step 1: Watch for advertisements around the time of service-related holidays for the next Walgreen’s military discount event
Step 2: Shop at Walgreens during the advertised sale days
Step 3: Show proof of your military service, such as a military ID, to the cashier at checkout. They will automatically apply your savings to your final bill.

Who Can Claim this Deal?
The Walgreens military discount is available to all current service members.
This includes members of the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard and those who serve in Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard roles.
Veterans and military family members are able to claim the deal as well.

What are the Restrictions?
The Walgreens military discount comes with a few very specific restrictions.
First, you must have a BalanceRewards card to take advantage of this deal.
If you don’t have this, you can simply ask the cashier to sign you up when you go to check out either during the sale or on a trip you make beforehand.

This deal also does not work on a wide variety of items.
These items include alcohol, tobacco, dairy products, gift cards, newspapers and magazines, stamps, prescriptions and other pharmacy purchases, clinic visits, lottery tickets, transportation passes, or pseudoephedrine and ephedrine medications.
As mentioned above, the 20% off and the 30% off refer to different classifications of products.
30% off is for Walgreens brands and 20% off is for other brands.
This deal is only valid in stores, and it’s only available for the specific dates that are advertised.
