From the well-loved characters to the endless entertainment, Disney attractions are perfect for family vacations.

Luckily, they are also great for military members since Disney provides military discounts to give back to those who serve.

Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruises all offer their own military discounts.

Park tickets are available at almost 50% off their normal price, and special, discounted cruises are planned each year to give back to those who serve.

In this article, we’ll look into each of the different military discounts offered by Disney, so you can choose the perfect destination for your next family trip.

Disneyland was Disney’s first U.S. attraction, and it’s the most-visited theme park in the country. It is located in Anaheim, California.

The different military discounts that can be used at Disneyland are outlined below:

Disneyland Military Discount Single-Day Tickets

Disneyland offers a simple military discount that allows you to get entry tickets for a lower price than the general public.

You can’t buy these tickets at the gate or on the Disney website. You’ll have to order them through your local base, and prices can vary.

How to Use this Deal:

You simply need to visit the Ticket and Travel office to order or purchase your tickets.

If you haven’t purchased from a Ticket and Travel office before, you can check out this helpful guide before you go.

Disneyland Tickets through GovX

If you are wanting to buy a single-day pass at a discounted price without going to your Ticket and Travel office, you can make your purchase through GovX.

GovX is a site that provides all sorts of discounts to past and present military members, and they offer discounted Disneyland tickets.

They offer a variety of discounted ticket options, including value packs, regular tickets, and peak-season tickets.

How to Use this Deal:

To use this deal, you’ll first need to create a GovX account.

This will save you money on your Disneyland tickets as well as other purchases in the future.

Step 1: Create your GovX account through the link above

Step 2: Purchase the discounted Disneyland tickets of your choosing

Disneyland Military Discount 3-4 Day “Hopper” Tickets

If you are looking for a way to save even more money, Disneyland offers generous multiple-day tickets to military members that are almost 50% off compared to the regularly-priced tickets.

The tickets that are available for this special deal are the 3 and 4-day “hopper tickets.”

Hopper tickets allow you to jump back and forth (even on the same day) between Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure Park, so you get double the adventure for your family trip.

The prices are typically around $184 for a 3-day pass and $204 for a 4-day pass (though these prices are subject to change at any time).

Normal hopper tickets cost nearly double the above amounts, so this piece of the military discount really saves you a significant amount of money on park entry.

How to Use this Deal:

These Disney military discount tickets can be purchased through your local base’s Ticket and Travel office.

Disneyland Lodging Military Discount

If you stay at a Disney resort or hotel during your trip, you can save even more money.

A program called the Disney Armed Forces Salute gets you discounted stays at all of the Disneyland lodging locations including Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.

Staying at these hotels also gets you an extra hour of time in the park each morning before the general public hours.

This means more time for fun each day as well as an hour of shorter lines.

How to Use this Deal:

Step 1: Call (407)-939-7825 to check for available rooms and book your stay

Step 2: Bring a military ID when you check-in for your stay to verify your military status and receive your discount

Who Can Claim the Disneyland Military Discounts?

All of the above deals can be claimed by current military members, including those who serve in the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard in National Guard, Reserve, and Active Duty roles.

Veterans and retired service members are eligible as well.

Military spouses can claim this deal if the military member is not using the deal already for the same trip (only one discounted member per trip).

The Memory Maker package includes digital access to pictures taken on rides and with characters throughout the park.

It normally costs $169, but the military discount brings it down to $89.

Disney World Lodging Military Discount

On top of park admission deals, military members can save on lodging when they stay at a hotel within the Disney World park.

Actual deals vary by the type of room you choose, but you can expect around 30% off standard rooms, about 35% off Fort Wilderness cabins and moderate rooms, and around 40% off deluxe resort stays.

You can also choose to stay at Disney World’s all military Shades of Green hotel, which comes with affordable pricing automatically as a way to thank the military members who stay there.

Disney cruises are another fun family vacation since they are made to entertain both kids and adults, and they stop at locations all around the world.

They’re also a great option because they still come with a generous Disney military discount.

Instead of offering a straight military discount off each cruise, Disney sets apart a group of cruises each year that will be eligible for their military discount.

You can find Disney military discount cruises on their “Special Offers” page.

The average savings come out to be around $1000 for a cruise for two (though rates vary based on the year, the location, the length of the trip, the number of travelers, etc.).

How to Use this Deal:

To use this deal, simply book your cruise through the “Special Offers” page that is linked above and bring a military ID for verification when you board the ship.

Who Can Claim the Disney Cruise Military Discount?

All current and former military members in all branches and roles can claim this deal. Military family members can benefit as well since the whole trip will be discounted and not just the military member’s ticket.
