JCPenney Military Discount

JCPenney is a large retailer store that sells clothing, shoes, and home goods.

Unfortunately, the chain does not offer a military discount at this time.

They do, however, offer a variety of ways for all of their customers to save.

About JCPenney

JCPenney begin in 1902 in Kemmerer, Wyoming after being founded by a man named James Cash Penney.

His first store was called “The Golden Rule” and his focus was on always treating the customer well.

JCPenney still carries this focus, but they’ve grown into a chain with over 1000 locations, and stores in every state.

Ways to Save at JCPenney

JCPenney always has a variety of deals that all customers can take advantage of.

Each deal is explained in detail below:

1. View the JCPenney Weekly Ad

One of the best ways to save at JCPenney is to look through their weekly ad.

They have a variety of great deals, varying from percentages off your entire purchase to mark downs on specific products.

These deals are usually available both in-store and online.

You can view the JCPenney weekly ad here.

2. Check Out the Coupons and Promos Page

Another great place to look for deals is the JCPenney “Coupons and Promos” page.

If there are any big deals going on that allow you to save on your whole purchase, they will be listed here.

You can then print off the coupon to use in store or save the promo code to use while shopping online.

You can view the Coupons and Promos page here.

3. Sign Up for Emails or Texts

If you want to hear about the deals JCPenney offers without having to put in much effort, you may want to consider signing up for emails or texts from them.

5. Sign Up for a JCPenney Credit Card

Signing up for a JCPenney credit card and using it on your purchases at the store is probably the way to save the most money.

With this card, you can get 15% off select items throughout most of the store, and 5% off select electronic purchases.

There are special savings days only available to card holders.

Your JCPenney account (the one that earns you free money) will earn points at twice the speed as well.

You can learn more about the JCPenney credit card and fill out an application here.

6. Watch for Rebate Deals

The last way to save at JCPenney’s regular stores is to watch for rebates.

Rebate deals allow you to send in a receipt and receive a chunk of money back in the mail.

You can check this page for rebates, as they will show up here whenever they are available.

They are also usually advertised in the JCPenney weekly ad.

7. Use the JCPenney Portraits Military Discount

Even though JCPenney stores do not offer a military discount, their portraits studios do.

When you show your military ID at the beginning of the session, all of your session fees will be waived.

This means you can get your pictures taken completely free.

You’ll also receive a free 8×10 print.

Anything else you purchase will be 50% off, standard print prices are cut from $14.99 to 4.99, and you can get a high resolution digital photo album for just $99 (normally $149).

You can find more information about this deal, as well as print off a coupon with all of the details (though it is not necessary to bring it with to your session) here.

Unfortunately, JCPenney doesn't offer a military discount for the men and women serving in uniform. With that said, there's no reason to pay full price.
